The Snetterton Race Track was formed from a network of runways, originally built as the wartime base of the 96th US Air Force Bomber Group. The first meeting at Snetterton was organised in 1951 by the Aston Martin Owner's Club, so the circuit has a longstanding motorsport tradition. The track has been modified since then and now has a lap less than two miles long. Several Le Mans 24 Hour cars have been developed at the Norfolk track, including Bentley’s EXP Speed Eight. Both the Audi R8 and the Williams BMW LMP were first seen at Snetterton undergoing development trials.
The great thing about Snetterton is that it's a compact cicuit with some very good vantage points for photography. It's a great place to try your hand where you can expect to get a clear view (if you set up early enough) and some quality results.
